March Madness!!

Hola Familia,
Estoy muy agradecido para estar aqui trabajando aqui. This morning we had consejo de lideres with Presidente Torres. It was pretty awesome. I learned a lot. We have Consejo once a month with all of the Zone Leaders and the hermana lideres de la mission. It was really sweet. I could feel the spirit super strong. We had some visitors that taught us on how to use historia familiar (family history)in missionary work. It was pretty awesome. We hardly ever use it here in the mission but now we are going to use it a lot. It should be great. This week was pretty crazy. We had to go to the office twice which was cool because I got to see Elder Condori but it keeps ya busy. We were also happy to have a baptism this week. His name is J. He is a kid who his aunt is a returned missionary. He is 11 and is pretty cool. We are hopeing to have more exito in the future. As Zone Leader we just have to help the missionaries in the Zone and in the mornings we are often times visiting the missionaries to verify how they are doing. It is pretty cool. It is cool that we get to have more training from the mission president. Hopefully I will be able to help more people. I am learning a lot more which is the best part. Being able to learn more. I need to learn so much more but I know that the lord will make up for the great difference. Well I am so happy to hear from all of you. I hope you all have a wonderful wonderful week. Tell Andy happy birthday from me! Well not much more happened this week. Hopefully this week we will be able to have more success. I have to get used to Guayaquil but I am loving it. It is different that is for sure but it is all good. Well I love you all so much and I hope you all have a wonderful wonderful week.

Adios to Pasaje!

Hola Familia, This week has been a pretty crazy one, that is for sure. Tuesday I got a call in the evening saying I had transfers and was being transferred. I got transferred to the Ward Malvinas in the Stake Huancavilca. The craziest part is that now I am a Zone Leader. I hope that I can help more people. I was pretty sad to leave Pasaje and Elder Barney. Elder Barney is a great great missionary. I am so thankful that I could be his companion. I am so grateful for all that I have learned here in the mission. I am excited for that chance that I have to learn more and more from other Zone Leaders and Presidente Torres. My new companion is named Elder Rodriguez. He is from the Dominican Republic. He has 16 months in the mission. He is kind of crazy, but it is all good. This week we did not really have to much success but hopefully this next week we will be able to find a bunch of new poeple!!! We are going to have 2 baptisms this week. We have a youth named J who is 16 and J who is 11 and his aunt is member. Hopefully all will go well. Thank you for your emails. They really do help me out so much. Changes sometimes are hard but I know that I can do it. That mission conference sounds pretty awesome. Cleaning the temple would be a great experience. It sounds like you guys had a pretty good week. I pray that you will all be able to have more and more great experiences. I am so grateful for my family and all that you do for me. Well I don´t really have to much for this week. Hopefully this next week will be filled with spiritual experiences. I thank you all for your prayers. I love you all so much. Have a wonderful wonderful week. Say hello to everyone there in the ward and in the Family!! Con Amor Elder Duzett

Answers to Prayers!!

Hola Familia, Sounds like you all are doing pretty well. Sounds like everybody is keeping pretty busy. This week was pretty crazy. It was super weird being in the house for so long. Then on Thursday we spent most of the day in Guayaquil because I had to go renew my Visa. It is all good I am legal for a while now. We traveled six hours in bus which is not to awesome but it was all good. I got to see Elder Condori for a second. The office, that is pretty sweet. Now if I need something from the office it will be all good. This week unfortunately we did not have to much success. The family that we are teaching was unable to come to Church. Their Grandma got sick and had to do something for her but it is all good. They are going next week and the two daughters are ready to get baptized on the 22nd of March. We did have a pretty cool story from this week. On Saturday night we were teaching a lesson in a part of our sector that is a little out of the city and a little dangerous when all the power in all of the state when out!! It was super super dark. We started walking back to our apartment and it was super dark and we did not know what to do. We walked off the road a little bit and we said a prayer. Five seconds later a Police truck pulls up to us and said that it was dangerous to be there because the power was out and that they would take us home so the Police drove us home. It was awesome. It is so awesome how fast Heavenly Father answers prayers. We were able to get home perfectly safe!! Other than that not very much happened this week. We did get a new Branch President. The old one was released and they called a new one. Hermano A Z recieved the Melquisedec Priesthood and got called to be the branch mission leader. We are super excited to be working with him to help others come unto Christ. He is super excited about his calling and we gave him a preach my gospel book and I am sure he will read it super fast. I am so grateful for all that Heavenly Father does in his work. I know that this is his work. I know that Heavenly Father is working super super hard for each and every one of us so that we can do what is right and be happy. This morning I was reading in DyC 108 v.7. I like that verse a lot. We should also do what would strengthen other people. I know that that is true and that with little bits of kindness we can change hearts. I am so grateful for all that you guys do for me. I am so grateful the opportunity that I have to be here on the mission. I love you all and I hope that you all have a great week. Olivia, I hope that you have a wonderful wonderful birthday. I am so grateful for you and the opportunity that I have to be your brother. It really is a privilegio. I hope that all goes super well with school and with everything. Keep on doing what is right and all will be well. I love you so much!! ¡Feliz CumpleaƱos!!!! I love you all so much and I hope you all have a wonderful week in all of you endeavors!! Gracias por todo que hace para mi!! Les Amo Elder Duzett

13 Months in the Mission and Carnaval!!

Hola Familia,
Estoy escribiendo temprano por motivo que es Carnaval! We can only write right now. And then we go work for two hours and the rest of the day we will be in the house. Yesterday after church we were in the house all day. From 11 30 in the morning, it was kind of weird. I was able to find some pretty sweet scriptures though so it was all good. Tomorrow as well we can only leave for 2 hours to teach. Carnaval is pretty crazy. After church, walking home, some dude only threw a bucket of water on me but he was drunk so he was not even close when we dodged it. It is kind of crazy. This week was kind of weird, I don´t know why, maybe it is the Carnaval and all that. We are super happy because we had a baptism this week. We had the baptism and confirmacion of Hermano  T. He is from Colombia. He is pretty sweet. He is going to go out with us teaching all day on friday. That will be great because he has a lot of friends. Hopefully we will be able to find a bunch of new people. We were able to find a great new family this week. The parents are not married but they are planning on it real soon which we are happy about. The Dad is super awesome. He talked with missionaries 7 years ago and still has is Book of Mormon. He works on Sunday but we will see what happens. His kids are all getting baptized on the 22 of March, but the goal is the whole family. Unfortunately our baptism for this week fell. Hermano D told us on Sunday that he does not want to commit anymore to anything. It was sad, but I know people have their agengy and that really is hard but I know it is so important. I am so grateful for all that I have learned here on the mission and what I am still learning. I am so grateful for Christ and his sacrifice for all of us. I am grateful for the scriptures and all that we learn from them. I was reading in Juan 5 17. Dad you wrote me to read that scripture my first day in the mission and I love it. I know that it is work and sometimes it is hard work but I know that we receive great treasure and blessings. I know that this work is true. I am so grateful to be part of it. I love you all so much and I hope you all have a wonderful week!!! I love you all eternally!!
Con Mucho Mucho Amor
