Working Hard!!

Hola Familia!!!! Muchas gracias por el correo!!!! This week was a pretty great week. We are super happy to have are two baptisms on Saturday!!! Satan fought hard but they are great they were able to get over every challenge. They went to church alone before we went to get them for their confirmations. They have strong testimonies of the Restoration which is super awesome which helped them be able to get over many problems. Hermana B had some guy yelling at her for like an hour telling her not to get baptized!!! It did not even affect her because she knew it is true. We also had a good week finding new investigatros. We were able to have 7 people in church and 6 have a baptismal date!! We have a baptism this week. Her name is M P. She is twelve and she comes to church by herself and already pays tithing which is awesome!!! She really wants to get baptized. We are working with her family but her parents are not married so we have more work to do there. We also had a family named the family M come to church. It is a mom with her daughter who is 20 and her son who is 22. They are pretty cool. They have a many problems in their lives and they really need the gospel. We are super excited for this family. We also have another family named the Family R. The dad and son came to church this week. The son is 14 and has a baptismal date and he is a super athletic black kid!! but he is super humble and a great kid. His name is V. We are excited for the investigators that we have!! We need to find many more this week. It was great to get to talk to you all Monday. It was great to see your faces. It is weird how the time is flying by but we´ll keep giving it our all as a family. It should be great!!!! I am feeling much better now. I did not really have any side effects from the medicine that they gave me so all good!!! Well I love all of you so much!! I am so grateful to have such a wondeful family. I am learning so much about the importance of family here in the mission I love you all and hope that you all have a wonderful wonderful week!! Con mucho mucho amor!! Elder Duzett

A Week of Hard Work!!

Hola Familia, How are all of you!! First off this Sunday we are going to Skype! I will be skyping at 7 30pm which I think is like 5 30pm (actually 6:30, they didn't Spring Forward!)your time! It should be great. This week I don´t have too much time to write because today we had Leadership Council. It was pretty great. We were able to learn quite a bit of things from President Torres. This week we are excited because we are going to have a baptism. His name is E M. He is 18. It should be great. This next week we are going to have 2 baptisms as well. Two sisters one is named B G who is 23 and her sister named L M. She is 11. We are working with the parents they are super close. The mom has a testimony she just has to get the courage to tell it to her family. This week I did an interchange with Elder M. He is from Bingham High School and he graduated the same year as I do. He is super awesome. We were able to work hard and have some success which was the best part about the interchange. Well sounds like all of you are doing great. I was sad to hear about Brother Wailes. Some of the fondest memories I have was blessing the sacrament in the homes of the members. It was a huge testimony booster about the Sacrament. I was able to take the sacrament to a sick member in Pasaje a veces but really it brought me to realize the importance of the sacrament. I am so grateful for Brother Ed! Tell him he is a wonderful man and that he is extremelly important for our Heavenly Father! I am so grateful for our ward and what I have learned. In the mission I have learned a lot more about wards and their progress. It really is tough work sometimes but it is so worth it. Well fam I hope you all have a wonderful week. This week we are going to have a great week. I love you all so much!! Con Mucho Amor! Elder Benjamin Duzett

Grateful for the Journey

Hola Familia, Esta semana fue una muy muy interesante. The first thing that happened was quite a surprise was that my companion got changed again. I am now with Elder Neira who is from Peru. Has 16 months in the mission. He is pretty cool. I now get to finish my training as Zone Leader which is great. He is a hard worker so that is awesome he should help me learn a lot. He has a couple months more as Zone Leader so that should help. This week was awesome to have President Uceda. He is so powerful. He taught us so much about how we can be better here in the mission. We also had Leadership Council with him on Sunday which was really awesome. he told us about edifying Zion and how we have to work with the members. He taught me a lot. It was great to here. This week I am going to have Elder Condori send you guys a letter from me so I will tell you more in the letter. But it really was awesome. We do have some great investigators right now. We had a wonderful lesson with a family this week about the restoration. It was super cool. The last thing that happened was I had a wonderful interview with President Torres. He really is such a great man. He helped me a lot. I am so grateful that I am serving here in this mission. I am so grateful for all the persons that I have been able to work with. I am so grateful for the journey and for all that we learn in our Journeys. An Elder shared with me a talk called Lessons Learned from Liberty Jail by Elder Holland. It is a super great talk. Elder L is the other missionary from Brighton. He is super awesome. I played basketball with him on Tuesdays with N G! We were able to talk a little bit on Wednesday. I also was able to talk with Elder B. He is doing pretty good!! I am so grateful that I got to be his companion. Thank you family for all that you guys do for me. Gracias por su amor!!! Tengan una buena semana. Con Amor Elder Duzett

He is Risen!!

Hola Familia, Muchas gracias por el correo y por su amor y apoyo. Sounds like you guys had a pretty good week. Vernal and Flaming Gorge sounds pretty awesome. I remember when we went there for young mens. That was a great trip! Wow time flies by quickly. We had a pretty great Easter here. Sunday there was a conference in all of Ecuador. We had a transmission from Salt Lake in which Elder Nash, Elder Holland and Elder Scott all talked. It was so awesome to see Elder Holland speaking Spanish. He spoke a little in Spanish without a translator but he gave most of his talk in English but he testified in the end in Spanish. It was so awesome. Elder Scott gave and amazing talk on the savior. It really was a great great conference. I am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to be here in Ecuador. I am learning so much and I know I have so very much to learn. This week we will have the great opportunity to have Presidente Uceda the Area president come visit the mission. On Wednesday we are going to have a capacitacion with him. We also have Leadership Council in the morning with him. It should be super awesome. I am excited to learn. This week we had three investigators go to church that have baptismal dates. We are super happy about that. They are all pretty excited about the gospel which is super awesome. That is so awesome that Hermana M spoke in church. That is a pretty awesome step for a convert. Sorry I have not sent any pictures lately. This sector is a little bit more dangerous so I have not been carrying my camera around and so I have not been able to take any good pictures but I promise next week I will send fotos. I am so grateful for the mission and the chance we have to progress in this life. I know that we are here to progress. I know that this church is true. I know that Christ lives, that he is risen. I am so grateful for that and for what that means to us. I know that through the atonement of Jesus Christ all mankind may be saved. I am so grateful for that and for the opportunity that I have to help others know that. Well family I love you all so much and I hope you all have a wonderful wonderful week!! I pray for you all always!! Con Amor Elder Duzett
